Moussaka
Moussaka layers eggplant, meat sauce, and bechamel, then bakes everything until golden.
What You Need
- 2 eggplants, sliced
- 300 g ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups bechamel sauce
- Olive oil, salt, and pepper
How to Cook It
- Salt the eggplant slices, pat them dry, then roast or pan-fry until lightly browned.
- Cook onion, garlic, and the ground meat until browned.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and simmer until the filling thickens.
- Layer eggplant and meat sauce in a baking dish, then pour bechamel on top.
- Bake until the top is golden and let it rest before slicing.
Recipe 2
Souvlaki
Souvlaki is marinated skewered meat grilled until lightly charred and served with bread or salad.
What You Need
- 500 g chicken or pork, cubed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp oregano
- Salt and pepper
- Skewers
How to Cook It
- Mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Marinate the meat in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Thread the meat onto skewers.
- Grill or pan-sear until cooked through and lightly charred.
- Serve hot with pita, yogurt sauce, or salad.

Greek Salad
Greek Salad is a fresh mix of tomatoes, cucumber, onion, olives, and feta dressed with olive oil.
What You Need
- 3 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup olives
- 150 g feta cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp oregano
How to Make It
- Place tomatoes, cucumber, onion, and olives in a large bowl.
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle oregano over the vegetables.
- Toss gently so the vegetables stay intact.
- Add the feta on top in chunks or cubes.
- Serve fresh and chilled if preferred.
